The Badaling Great Wall, historically known as one of the Nine Great Passes under Heaven, is the essence of the Great Wall and is highly representative among the Ming Dynasty’s Great Wall sections. It is the earliest section of the Great Wall opened to tourists. The Badaling Scenic Area mainly features the Badaling Great Wall and has built modern tourism service facilities with complete functions such as the Badaling Hotel and the Panoramic Cinema. The Badaling Scenic Area is famous worldwide for its magnificent landscape, complete facilities, and profound cultural and historical connotations. Badaling is the best-preserved and most representative section of the Ming Dynasty’s Great Wall. In ancient times, it was said that the danger of the Juyongguan Pass lay not in the pass itself but in Badaling. This section of the Great Wall is located in a steep and strategic position, commanding a high ground, and integrating grandeur, steepness, beauty, and lush greenery. After several renovations, the accessible section for tourists reaches 3,741 meters, with 1,176 meters in the southern part and 2,565 meters in the northern part, and there are a total of 16 watchtowers. Badaling has witnessed many significant events in history.

Departure Location:In Beijing, China: Gather at Qianmen Subway Station, Xuanwumen Subway Station, Chongwenmen Subway Station, and Beitucheng Subway Station, and then set off.
Return Location:
Near the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube in the core area of Beijing Olympic Park, Beijing, China. The transportation around is convenient. You can take Subway Line 8 and Line 15 to get to the downtown area of Beijing.
