Mutianyu Great Wall Private Tour: The Key to Worry – Free Exploration of a World Wonder
As one of the most spectacular sections of the Ming Great Wall, Mutianyu is renowned for its 20 – kilometer – long winding towers and the breathtaking view of the mountains ablaze with red leaves in autumn. However, for overseas tourists, the biggest obstacle to getting there is not the steep steps, but the language barrier. There are no English signs on the scenic area buses, and taking a taxi may lead to over – charging traps. Choosing a private car – charter service gives you a sense of control from the very beginning of your journey.
Tour Itinerary
The driver will pick you up at Beijing Capital Airport, and it will take about one and a half hours by car to reach the Mutianyu Great Wall. The actual travel time is subject to the road conditions. The time is flexible. It is advisable to set off earlier during holidays or weekends to avoid the crowds.
Upon arrival, your driver will assist you in purchasing the tickets, and then you can explore on your own. Optional additional services include taking the cable car to the top of the city wall and taking the toboggan to return (both at your own expense). Depending on your arrival time, you usually have about three hours to hike and take photos on the city wall.
After visiting the Great Wall, the driver will take you back to your hotel in Beijing. The itinerary ends.
